Fact File: BP Travel Marketing ServicesBP Travel Marketing Services provides trade and consumer travel brochure distribution, email broadcasts and travel agent shared mailing services throughout the UK. BP was formed in 1972 and originally called BP Travel Trade Services. In 2001 it changed its name to Orbital Marketing Services Group Ltd to reflect to broad range of services available within the group. BP Travel Marketing Services was set up as a trading division in 2001, alongside Aspect Marketing Services and JEM Education Marketing Services. BP serves the UK travel industry and is the leading supplier of direct marketing and retail distribution services. BP has operational facilities in Ashford, Kent (head office, call centre, brochure despatch and storage) and Rushden, Northamptonshire (consumer response handling). With over 600 clients BP Travel Marketing Services offers a range of services from storage and bulk brochure distribution to Mailbag (a monthly service that involves updating travel agents with new offers in the travel market). They own and run two online brochure request services; one for the consumer, Brochurebank.co.uk and another, Trade-Gate.co.uk allowing travel agents to order bulk brochure supplies. Senior managers within the company include Paul Markland, managing director of Orbital Marketing Services Group, Steve Martin, director of sales and business development at BP Travel Marketing Services and Brenda Goodings, sales and business development manager.
